There is actually one exam left, physical examination, the theory part.
That's on Wednesday and then it's actually break for 11 weeks.
What am I going to do???
I've not been out for 2 months, no kiting, not surfing. I've turned nerdy.
That's okay thou, it heaps fun hanging out at uni, studying different things.
We'll have some really cool lecturers for next year, which I'm looking forward to. Units will be; neurology, evidence based practice and we are finally going to be taught adjusting. Even thou I've already been going to Gonstead evening classes. Which is a variation of the technique we are being taught by Murdoch.
How cool isn't it that my grandpa was traveling the States and the UK and learned chiropractic from different folks and then went on to develop his own technique. I mean that is pretty damn cool, especially since this was probably over 50 years ago.

Spring times
"Bush court" at Murdoch uni, where everybody hangs out during the lunch.
Also check out the quality of my new camera, Canon S90

Was a long time since I wrote something here. I've been pretty busy doing other things. It's almost exam times, the summer is coming up and there is stuff happening all the time.
Always have to chose between uni work or going out.
Observed two Chiropractors a few weeks ago and my plan is to see two others before this semester ends. I've also been reading up on Osteoarthritis, ACL tears in females and tendinitis and tendinopathy. I find them all very interesting.
We got a great house going, me, Eric, two Swedish girl and one Ozzie girl and I'm really happy with the situation. MUSIC, MUSIC is so good for creating a good vibe in the house.
I've also started working again so I work a few times a week and man it's almost more fun teaching it then actually kite. Would be fun to see my brother coming over for a session.
Will go and see him anyways on the eastcoast this summer. Do the trip from Sydney to ByronBay. That trip will be off the wall!
BUT first off I'll learn all these stuff at uni and get some grades that I can be proud off!

Proud man
Hey whatzup..
Bam we're having one week of break from studies after 4 weeks on.
But it's actually the time to catch up on everything, and there is plenty to choose from :)
Just been doing 6 hours of intense writing in the library.
Just so f^$& proud. Would never been able to pull that off a year ago.
I thou think you become a bit retarded when you study this much haha.
Well, at least it's interesting.
We had some fun this morning. Me and a couple of friends went for a surf and when we got to the spot it was; raining, dark and cold. On top of that my wetsuit was all wet. For days like this we have one song that gets us out of the car...
I love being a man in Australia, doing my job and having fun
Sweet greetings from over here :D

Full on nerd
Wooa'la I'm back in Perth
Uni has started and I'm getting nerdy for the next 4 months.
Got Biomechanics, Anatomy 2 and Physical Examination this semester.
In addition to that I'm on this volunteer program and will be teaching Maths and Biology to High School kids 2h a week.
I've been in the gym for 7 weeks and I squatted 5*5 at 92.5kg, breaking parallel two days ago.
I just recently started with power cleans to get more explosive, its a fun exercise.
Here is a pic from yesterday which I took with my new camera (finally).

Starting training
I've been training on and off for the last 4 years. Now it's time to stop messing the fuck around.
I was studying to my nutrition exam a few days ago and happen to pop in to his site.
It all made so much sense, especially because it rings with the stuff we have been studying this semester.
The guy talks about how he was training 5 days a week for 5 years. Yeah he was strong but still he wanted to be ripped and one day he got pissed off at it. He said no more bullshit.
He read up on nutrition again, books, journals everything.
After 3-4months of his new eating habits his body had changed.
To sum this stuff up, it's basically to eat whatever they ate 10.000 years ago. Cut the carbs out. this guy does not any grains such as oats and pasta. He swapped that for fat, vegetables, eggs and chicken. He writes about the two hormones leptin and insulin which I just have been reading about and it makes sense.
About the training, it's still the same as when Arnold was working out. You gotta SHOCK that muscle, never just train and relax, FOCUS and you should be wasted coming home from a run or from the gym.
He says that eating like this is cheaper then it use to be and quicker. Great, more time for studies. Haha it's funny how you Bitten has been eating like this for a couple of years and I've told you you need some rice and pasta.
I feel mislead and I'm pissed ;)

Wadup
I spent this morning by having my daily porridge which is so lovely with just that touch of vanilla protein powder. After that I'm set.
The sky was all blue and it felt like a spring day in Sweden.
My room was fresh, my bed made and my desk clean.
I decided I wanted to have a coffee this Sunday morning in central Freo. This girl came with me, we talked about tall people, huge calves and just weird stuff.
I'm so glad I can start my day in this way and I always want to be able to.
When we were done she ran off to work and I walked back home.

This is Dome in Freo (To the left)
Now I've done 2 hours of studying and it feels really good. I'm hungry for learning again.
One thing that I just found out was that all your wee comes straight out of your blood, yep that's right. The blood is filtered all the time and your wee comes from nowhere else but your blood.
So when you're drinking piss (AusEnglish: piss= beer) your blood fills up with fluid and at the same time it's being filtered so there is no net buildup of blood.
Yesterday I really understood for real how the SA node really work. It is a cluster of cells in your right atria which depolarizes and re polarizes by itself, just chemical gradients and channels that open and closes. This Node is in itself influenced by the para and sympathetic nervous systems in times when the heart needs to beat slower or faster.
It's so cool how all the body system works. The coolest and almost unbelievable idea is that it didn't put all this together out of a blueprint, it did it by trial and error!
But ye it took a few years to do it. I wonder what motivated _____ to keep going or maybe maybe it was just God and his boys who did it ;)
Okay back to work, Jalla

Study whine
Some days I wonder if I'm insane and wonder how everyone else cope with it.
Today is Saturday and it seems like just as yesterday evening I'll be home studying.
I know that even though everything feels shit right know I'm doing it because this is what I wanted to do and when it's all over I can laugh at it. It doesn't feel that overwhelming when I write about it but in some moments it is shit.
I good way of studying that a friend taught me a few years ago is to set an alarm and within that time you have to study and only study. He was the guy that kinda pushed me to become a Chiro. He himself had become a Medical doctor.
Okay, I'ma make food now with some cheeeeese oon baby

Exam times
Sweet, it feels like I somehow got this study thing now.
Since I cut out facebook one and a half month ago I've been getting the best grade (HD) on almost every test and presentation. It's really ridiculous how much more I've learned and how much more effective I'm at studying these days.
Like today, studying for the exams, I would never be able to pull off a 10h day immersed in my studies. Every time I would be just a bit tired or unfocused I would go onto facebook and quickly check what everyone else was doing and if anyone had given me any comments.
Luckily its just me who use to have this facebook addiction ;)
But cutting it out is not for everyone I think, many people can deal with it much better then I could. But if you can't then do as I did.
My room mate still logs me in two times a week.
I do think that when you're studying with such an intensity you have to get out and do something fun otherwise you go mental or become really boring.
Today my fun will be running intervals and then have cheap pizza with some friends.
Hey can anyone comment on how good my written English has become?
LASSEEEEEeeee....show me you know how to write a comment please
I hope I never become more serious in real life then the silly retard I am because we are all going to die some day! pow

1 week
Til our first Anatomy exam. Will be cool, feels good since I've been doing lots of work the last couple of weeks.
It feels like I got that study rhythm from last semester back but x2
I've been getting good grades on everything lately even some exceptional ones.
I've also been in the clinic observing a Chiropractor at our clinic. It was very interesting and inspirational to see what we have in front of us. It really makes me wanna know everything and have top grades, cuz you see then you can really have fun when you know you have done the best you could. At the same time the studies become so much more fun if you become more nerdy when you study.
To another topic, yesterday the end-of-semester party was held. I was sober since I was about to go down to our Dean and observe him this morning.
However I got this stupid idea to climb up onto a roof. I jumped up onto a brick wall and from there jumped and tried to grab the roof and I grabbed it but slipped and fell uncontrollably into the concrete. I ended up with a bruise on my forehead and well sore arms.
I went down for x-rays this morning but everything was fine puh-
I even got a medical certificate that states that I'm unable to write with my left hand since I'm a lefty, some painkillers which I haven't taken since I don 't wanna blur my mind in exam times.
/I'm going to nail these exams

Hypnotized
Today my uni. got this hypnotist show going on.
I was there last year watching and it was nuts.
Two hours of people giving birth on stage, crying, pretending to be James Bond catching KGB agents in the audience HAHA I will never forget the night.
I had a lots of fun and laughed so much.
Tonight I'm going to be hypnotized and I've set it up so that my friend will record everything on my video camera.
Before that (in 4h) we have our last mid-exam. Its about renal, respiratory and GI tract. Quite some interesting things.
Back to work :)

Inspiring
We have four units this semester (in Swedish termin).
Anatomy being the hardest one. I have heard a lot, but a fail rate of 35% is one of them. That means that 7 out of 20 fails this unit and has to do another year.
That's massive if it's true. OKAY I'm not going to be one of them.
Today our Dean of Chiropractic School lectured for us. It was so inspirational how he told us that to get MJ* good you should palpate 10 spines a day for the rest of your life.
* MichaelJordan
He screened Martin, it semed so simple. He spoke about how we are doing non-surgical operations with our hands on every patient (don't quote that word by word please).
HE said that you can pay the money, pass the units and get out of here in 5 years, get a job and probably get a few patients.
BUT if you want, you can dedicate yourself to this just like a sports star dedicate himself to his sport and play in the Olympics.
It is easy to play the piano, almost anyone can do it but if you want to play a concert you have to like it, dedicate yourself to it, put lots and lots of time into it and only then something of value will come out of it.
I have to confess that I've been kinda skeptic to this whole "chiropractic" thing.
It was so weird that one person with skills could actually, locate the problem and treat it and a person with no skill just giving a massage could not. When I'm reading it, it's not that weird actually. Especially not since I've learned a little bit of anatomy over here.
The skepticism starts to vanish the more I learn I guess. I do think its a good thing being a bit skeptic to it. I really start to like that our School is pro evidence based chiropractic. In the beginning I didn't like it. Probably since my dad use leaches and all kinds of magic but HEY I do think that there is a lot of wisdom and techniques out there that really works but too many people are trying to make money out of it without really knowing what they do. Then one bogus-Chiropractor can make it sour for everybody. To be a serious profession you got to be able to back it up with a bit of evidence, which should not even be that hard if it works HEY.
One of the things I want to implement when I start practicing is to explain to the patients what is wrong with them and what I'm doing so in that way I can teach every patient at the same time.
I still have a bit of skepticism in myself and I think that is a good thing since there has been and is probably going to be a bit of bogus within the profession. But I guess that goes with every profession, from dentists to car-mechanics. I do think that the big bulk of people are smart (I hope at least) and that they can smell out a un-honest car-mechanic from an honest one. One that actually enjoys repairing cars and therefore doesn't see it as a means to make money Of course it's important to make money but if you enjoy what you do that will not be priority number one and in that way the standard will be much higher.
HE also said while showing us, how you screen a patient for soft tissue tension or a misaligned vertebrae. You then correct it and when you screen the patient again that vertebrae should be corrected, otherwise you shouldn't be paid.
He said that the patient might be in more pain afterward. But that is just the nature of the beast.
He also said that it is possible to drive down to Rockingham and observe him in his clinic on Saturday mornings. In may (about 3 weeks) I'll try to get a few hours of observation time with him. I'm looking forward to this but before that, I want to have my anatomy down as well as 10spines a day.
So with having said that I'm going home to study Anatomy now but I'll still go for a surf early tomorrow morning :)
Have a good weekend, don't drink and drive and be happy - don't worry.
Peace

Continuation
So don't know if I've written about it or not but I had some thought's today.
I got the Faculty Deans award for being the student who aggregated his marks the most from first to second semester in year 1. Well this isn't much worth if the effort I put in last semester isn't continuously improved. Yeah it is worth 250dollars in fact. TWOOOHUNDRED50 dollars.
This semester, first one of the second year has not been as good. I've had a bad feeling about this and was unable to figure out what it was. It eventually hit me.
I don't know about you, but I can't handle it. Nope. To me its just so damn addictive.
I've not logged onto it for 5 days and it makes such a big difference. It sounds like a small problem but it has been a peaceful couple of days. You don't need it.
I will still log onto it 2 days a week to answer emails. Uhh actually Anne my room mate logs me on, she's got the password.
This came in great time because its only 5 weeks left and its time to start study for our exams. Which begins in 6 weeks so from now on there's no alcohol or internet wasting.
I'll still go surfing, gym and go out and have fun with friends but I think that these stuff will benefit me in the long run.
Hahaha but everyone can talk, we now that, especially if you go to university ;)
We just have to wait and see how my grades turn out but it slowly feels like I'm growing up.
Will be cool to fly home and observe my dad during the summer, teach him a thing or two ;)
Haha don't think so yet but it'll be far more interesting since I know a few muscles and bones in the body by now.

G'day mate
Went for a surf with Eric and two dutch girls this morning up at Trigg point.
We were a bit late so the wind had already kicked in. Was all fun anyways.
The house is filling up and we meet our last room mate today, a 37 year old circus artist. She is so chilled out and the rest of the people as well.
This weekend is just about studying and surfing in the morning just as I want it.

Funny stories from Bali
These trips disappears out of your memory so fast so I want to write some about how it is here.
Will update this post regularly til Sunday when I put up my pics.
DAY 1 Friday--------------------------------
Arrived at 2 pm. with Mish nd Nick.
I get to the luggage pickup and some balienesean guy picks up my surfboard and start carrying towards the exit I'm like fine, he takes it thru customs and for those 30meters he wants 50kr. I'm LMAO (laughing my ass off) and we agrees on 10kr.
Nick is laughing so much by now that I got hustled.
A minute later someone is carrying Nick's bag a few meters and Nick has to pay 35kr for that, my time to laugh.
It says that you're supposed to pay 25kr to Kuta.
The driver will not drive us for less then 50kr plus that he wants 40kr extra cuz I'm bringin a surfboard. Yeahyeah we pay him and I'm telling him that he's the best hustler I've ever met.
We find a cheap hotel for 80kr a night. After a quick meal I head down to Kuta beach to try some waves out. Man I was impressed over the waves even thou the closed out fast. So easy to catch, another thing then Perth. The rain is pouring down but no one cares. Most surfers are Balinesean. They are screaming, go,,go,,go..!!!
Nick comes out after a while with a longboard and catch his first few waves.
We're stoked.
We do some shopping because I came with nothing, zero, just my board and two books in my boardbag. We have dinner and talk with some people about the surf and are in bed by 11pm.
DAY 2 Saturday-----------------------------------------
We hear that the waves were going to be crappy this morning so we sleep in and then we rent some motorbikes. Our plan is to head down to Dreamland a 30min trip.
Shesus after 50meters the police pull me over. I think it's funny. He wants 100kr for some un correct turn and then another 50 for not having a international drivers license. I'm laughing and think the whole thing is pretty funny, manages to get it down to 100kr total and heads on. 10minutes later there's another cop pulling me over. Guy wants to see my driver's license.
First time was fun now its just getting expensive. The police man tries it a bit and I get kinda angry, yells at him that he can call his friends in Kuta and that I'm not paying anything more today, he just go,,go,,go..!!! (almost like the surfers)
Driving a scooter here felt funny in the beginning, luckily I did scooterDriving101 and 201 when I was a teenager. We get to Dreamland beach and there's no wave what so ever, just a big beachdump. We decide to head back to Legian which is just beside Kuta. When we get back I start talking to some guys, they're Swedish. They ask me if I wanna join to "Saronga?" tomorrow morning.
I head down to Legian beach and catch so many waves, no long runs but stoked anyways.
After that we head out to town to eat and then in bed by 9pm. Bought quite a few Bin-Tang shirts, they're selling stuff everywhere here.
DAY 3 Sunday ---------------------------------------------------
Waking up a 5:05 and have a few bananas and get myself ready to go.
Its pitch dark, walk over to the Swedish guys room and we head towards Saronga.
Drunk guys and girls are walking home with beers. We get there and its quite far out, but hey it looks good. The biggest ones are just over a man tall.
We get out there and after a while I catch one. It's a reef break and there's waves a bit here and there no consistency really.
We're in there til 9am and the guys are really good catching many waves, I get 4 waves and one being really good.
Have some breacky at the beach and then head home, sees Nick studying and I sit down and do the same for an hour. This afternoon we're getting out to Airport reef.
Getting out to airport left it look so good. I paddle into the waves with no hesitation, getting caught by the current and end up in the middle of a big set.
I'm getting tumbled again and again. Got so tired that I had to rest for almost an hour. My shoulders and back are full of lactate.
With the last 45min to go I manage to catch some waves. Biggest ones I've caught I guess.
Day 4 Monday----------------------------------------
Was meant to go to Serangen but lay awake til 12.30 and then I cancel it.
The other guys end up being to tired I realize at breakfast the next morning.
Goes for a short paddle with Nick at lunchtime after a few hours of study.
Hit up Airport left in the afternoon and the waves are a bit weak and choppy, catch some of them.
In the evening we head out for some beers with our neighbours and I get drunk, ohh yeah well fun.
Day 5 Tuesday---------------------------------------
Hangover in the morning, went for a session at Legian beside Kuta, was small tiny waves but it was all great. Studies during the day and at 4 I give it another go.
The swell has increased a bit, mostly close out but end up surfing with some American dude named Coper and we have some fun til the sun is down.
This evening I've been studying and tonight we're supposed to have a big night out otherwise its time for Serangan tomorrow morning
